Songwriting

Marlene is a great lover of music and a big believer in the wonderful impact music can have in our daily lives - and that of our animal friends! A big fan of harmonies and melodies, some of her favourite styles / genres of music are doo-wop, crooner, classical, Hawaiian, Motown, pop and rock 'n roll.....

Marlene also much enjoys song writing and generally simply writes whatever "comes along", from blues to lullabies. Many songs thus far however, have been love songs reminiscent of the "crooner" songs of the 1940's / 50's / 60's as well as doo-wop, funk and pop.

Marlene began writing songs "out of the blue" and then began having some of her songs professionally recorded. She currently (2024) has a number of tunes that are ready to be recorded e.g. Gotta let you go ...with many other songs also currently being finished / penned.

Marlene is currently not signed to any publishing houses.
